Where have you been all my life?
The years were so lonely without you
Heartbreaks, deceptions, stress and strife
I have finally bid them adieu.
Where have you been all my life?
I've been a novice in the game of love
Wounded deeply as if by a knife
I prayed to God for a gift from above.
Where have you been all my life?
I wandered along life's lonely road
Doubting I'd ever find myself a wife
Now look at the gift the Lord has bestowed!
Where have you been all my life?
Please tell me you are here to stay
Problems and self doubts have been rife
Now I'm a winner in every way.
Where have you been all my life?
So contented, I have a smiling heart
Living, loving; a brand new life
Nothing, no one, will make us part.
